Well, I've been on this Forum since 2009 and have never met any of you in the flesh. I imagine I'm not alone in this, but am curious to know how many of you guys actually know each other in the real world.

I've only met one. We became fast friends. We're plotting and scheming to take over the world.

Just one, but that was from the old usenet group. I do know there are several within an hour or two, but we just haven't made it happen.

3 or 4, if you count non-active members. Good people, all.

I'm friends with Christian Miller and Don_Oz in real life and have met a handful of occasional posters at workshops I've hosted (some in-person, some on Zoom).

    The Azores.

Why not just hook up via Zoom or similar, guitar in hand?

    Well..
That kind of would be central wouldn't it?

I don't travel well. For selfish reasons I'd choose San Diego. I was there about 5 weeks ago and the traffic was horrible. Not LA-level insanity but it was pretty bad.

Finances are tight but I'd go for Bermuda.

Even though we knew each other years before the Internet existed, I think we have to count each other. Counting you, I have met 7 in person and I have had regular communication with quite a few others.

These days, there are zoom meetings! Pale in comparison to real in person meetings of course, but perhaps a good solution for an international forum..

    Everyone brings their own beer!

Quite right. I was thinking about people I met on here. Obviously, we predate electricity, or close.

Not a solitary soul, which coincidently matches the number of people around me in real life interested in jazz guitar.

My attorney handles that sort of thing for me. Tells me he's working cheap too.

How about meeting at one of the many vintage guitar shows held across the US?

But then again, maybe not. It would be like holding an AA meeting in winery or liquor store. ?Too much temptation and too many choices.?

So, 1400 views, but only 30 participants in this poll? How hard is it to hit one button? It's anonymous, btw. Ah well, looks like only a handful of us are interested to know about who knows who around here...
