Do you have a strange playlist?
It's a jazz forum, but this is "Everything else" thread.

    ....
Maybe it should go to "Other styles" though. But that would exclude jazz.

    Oh. Chill. Relax.
Playlists from real people are something, really.

    Great minds think alike.

I'm currently on a Genesis and Peter Gabriel groove, after revisiting King Crimson and ELP's oeuvre recently. BTW, KC keeps making new albums available for streaming, Robert Fripp must be bored in lockdown or something. They just started streaming the great live album USA, as well as the much-maligned live album Earthbound. Also a couple of other new ones. I can't keep up with them...tough problem to have, after many years of NO streaming Crimson. (I have most of their original albums as well.)

I was going backwards and forwards from the time Peter Gabriel left Genesis. The album Then There Were 3 is the second Genesis album I bought back in the day. It sounds better than I remember it, but not peak Genesis. Even though Phil did a good job with the vocals, the songwriting wasn't quite as good as they were starting to trend poppy, and Steve Hackett was sorely missed. Right now I am in the middle of the PG collection Flotsam and Jetsom. Some good stuff there.

I've also been listening to a lot of recent Pat Metheny and Brad Mehldau, and was on a Fela kick not too long ago.

Weird to see Magma on anyone's playlist. That is such an odd group. I do have one of their albums, but have only played it a couple of times. There is a new single out by "Magma with Nuno A". I am not convinced it is the same group. Almost unlistenable dance music, IMO.

I have around 50 playlist but most of them are jazz by various categories: E.g. 50s' Blue Note, Wes\Green\Burrell etc...

The non-jazz ones are: British-Invasion (no Beatles), The Beatles, Latin-Grooves (light-jazz bossa nova), and two party-mixes that has groove-type-instrumental-tunes (but no soft-jazz).

As I mentioned, in some cases there may be just 1 or 2 tracks by a given artist in my playlist. I remembered a thread I started some time ago and guess what, you posted on it, as I just noticed
    Magma - quite a discovery

Ah yes I remember it well...

I have not listened to a lot of their music. Some I have found quite interesting.

This recent track though was not among them.

Play list refers to listening, like what I have on my phone?

For guitarists, Wes, Jim Hall (the Paul Desmond years) and Chico Pinheiro's City of Dreams, right now.

A lot of Brazilian music -- right now, Milton Banana, Dori Caymmi, Toninho Horta.

Some smooth jazz for a project I was subbing in. Lee R. Larry C. Ray Obiedo, Metheny, Sco, a few others.

Reggae: Toots in Memphis, Yankee Reggae by the Shakers.

And I often use youtube to listen to whatever I think of.
