What astounds me is their connection to either Barcelona or Manchester United, but I guess there may be other soccer teams listed that cannot identify!

Afghanistan'''s young musicians, long targeted and persecuted by the Taliban, fear what comes next - ABC News

Hip Hop rules by force sometimes. Rock has a history of entitlement.
    The Taliban are insecure men.

    Thanks for the link, @stevebol.

For those interested, the article contains a link to a crowdfunding page run by a musician who is trying to get musicians out of Afghanistan.

It seems the Taliban has replaced the Hells Angels and Black Panthers as the world's greatest music critics.

    I dub thee, Oaklandistan.

You’re an expert on the history of the black panthers?

We had a TV show here. A few guys travelled around the world on a small sailing boat.
After finishing the trip, one of them said something like: "well, most of the world's human population are still monkeys".
That wasn't to offend anyone. Just a bitter comment. It was a bit harsh and couldn't approve it then but it makes sense.

No. I know the Oakland A's are moving to Las Vegas.

The whole west coast should move to Vegas.
More room for me in California.

I know they started in Oakland. They're coasties. Aren't you a coastie? I moved from one flyover state to another. Wisconsin to Nevada.
Drop some knowledge about some coastie history if I'm lacking. I could use the help.

I'm going to mind my own business in California when I move there. I'm just another old man.
I'm a square. Leave me alone.

    I’ll help.

The old ones were Marxists, the new ones are Islamists. Un-American on both counts. Not worth a bucket of warm spit.

Cali huh? Well maybe if you want to become an expert on blacks (“panthers” or otherwise), you’ll get to know more about Larry Elder.

Could be refreshing to kick “Any twosome Newsom” to the curb.

It's a post-ideological world. Old definitions are muddled. I'll support the candidate who sees a need to pump water from one coastal state to another.
I want California, Oregon and Washington to have an alliance.
The Colorado River needs to heal. Everyone should leave it alone.

A democratic president (Harris) and a republican governor might be productive.

What are they waiting for. For Klaus Schwab to move to Bakersfield?

    Good for you.

But - it’s not a post ideological world by any means. Probably never will be.

Washington is keeping it’s water. No thanks. California can learn to turn salt water into fresh and have all the water it needs. Problem fixed.
