Hope he's better soon, and that it wasn't caused by the corona virus, which seems to have that effect in many cases. Best to his family, also.
-
Very sad to hear. I hope he makes a full recovery.
-
Kind wishes for recovery, and blessings to his family.
Maybe others will post images that Jason can share with his father when he wakes....

Bob and I have been swapping guitars for more than a decade, usually several times a year. We also go to concerts together. We live about two hours apart.
He and I had this notion of having a guitar library of sorts. A group of guys fund this collection and we borrow from it, maybe six months at a time, then return the instrument. In practicality it couldn't work for myriad reasons, but Bob and I have functionally done it.
My daughter lives near Bob. She shuttles guitars. More recently, Bob's daughter-in-law, who lives in Kalamazoo, has been doing the same thing.
Bob works for the government, the VA specifically, as a data analyst. Recently he's had a lot of overtime due to COVID-19. Only a week ago he was thinking about his next move in guitar acquisition with the money he made.
I hope to have an update soon.

Bob,
We are all pulling for you - I will pray for your recovery. Hope to see you respond to us soon.

MG,
Thanks for the backstory.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

He's fully alert and conversant. Still in ICU.
He's looking forward to gigging again.
-
Great news Dr. Mark.
-
Hang in there, brotha. May a full and quick recovery be yours. And warm thoughts to his family, having gone through a recent medical crisis with my father-in-law, it's a tough row to hoe. You guys take care of yourselves, too.

He was doing pretty well, fully alert and hopeful. His heart just stopped and couldn't be restarted.
Bob had twin boys who love music, too. They were born in 1989. He bought each of the a Heritage H-157 from 1989. They will wait until this COVID-19 situation passes then have a small music fest as a celebration.
There are very few people as kind and compassionate as he was. Very, very few.

Pain.
I have three friends at the limit right now, waiting and hoping for the best.
Best wishes to all who cared for him.
-
My condolences to his family and friends, if you'd be so kind as to convey them.
