Cannot say enough good about drumgenius. It's an app, but I'm sure you can record it to a daw...

Yes it’s neat, I had a free copy of ‘ableton lite’ or something which came with a gadget I bought, I didn’t really have much use for it at first. So I imported my favourite drumgenius loops into it using Barry’s method and it’s very handy. I grouped the loops by tempo range within one project, so I can just open one project and play whichever loop I like. And of course you can record guitar alongside it and export as a WAV like Barry did.

The Ezdrummer midi packs are played by real drummers and are not snapped to the grid. But they will cost you $$$.

I did this with EZdrummer midi. Click into various bits along the timeline to hear variations.

    Other options:

SessionBand Loops | Chord-Based, Royalty-Free Loop Sets From the World's Best Musicians

    Sonoma Wire Works: Drum Software

Drumdrops | Multitrack drums, drum loops, drum stems & drum samples

And if you own a Mac or iOS device, there’s always Garage Band. The loops they include (some are downloads you need to install) have gotten a lot better in recent years IMHO.
