I went last year. The setting is wonderful, but the classes I found not very helpful or useful. The first-rate jazz guitarists, acting as instructors, were not well versed in providing instructions to a group of people. There would always be one or two guys that would dominate the class, asking the same questions over-and-over again. This is what happens when the skill level of the attendees is all over the map, the instructor doesn't have a lesson plan (they all just winged it), and the goal of many of the instructors is to sell their instruction material.

But I'll likely attend just for the concerts (which were great, even with 3 guitarists on the stage at a time!).

I attended last year as well. I tend to agree about the instruction, though it did vary among instructors. On top of everything, though, the feeling of community was inspiring.

Agree with you 100% about the feeling of community. Other than the concerts my favorite part was lunch time. First rate playing (by the instructors) and meeting other jazz guitarists. I especially liked meeting with those under 40 because I'm so curious what lead them to pursue jazz guitar.
