Saw this last night, easily one of the best jazz/music related movies that you'll like to see. Not much guitar in it, but the music/jazz in it is excellent, plus a great story line and the animation is incredible.
"Dai Miyamoto is in the basketball club in middle school. One day, his friend takes him to a live jazz performance, which touches him on a deep level. From that point on, he begins to practice the tenor sax by himself, with no formal education, and no ability to read sheet music. He aims to become the world's best saxophone player."
Highly recommended for anybody who loves music/jazz or is inspired by it. Note - has english subtitles...

Hiromi did the soundtrack, which is great whether or not you see a second of the film!
Including this rad tune which based on a bunch of covers on youtube and instagram seems to have been picked up by quite a few young Japanese and Korean players:

Yeah, the music and visuals were great. The story has a really cool idea at its core too, but I felt there was something lacking in the execution. Still worth a watch tho.
