I wasn't sure where to place the thread but wondering how to best proceed with a refund without being impatient. I received a damaged guitar from a seller today with whom I've sold to before, on Reverb. $6300. I paid him directly through PP Friends and Family--there is a crack in the center seam on a carved top, verified by my luthier. He has filed a claim with Fedex already. Im thinking that I should not be waiting on their refund process and expecting refund asap. Had I used a CC, I would have already filed a damage claim, and if I were the seller, I would have already refunded the buyer, or at least as soon as return tracking was forwarded. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you,

    Tom

If you paid by F&F you're S.O.L. unless the seller decides to refund your $.
Never use F&F unless it truly is F&F.

He won't (wouldnt'?! ) do that. We talked before selling and agreeing on price on the phone, and we have been on the phone today. I just don't want to be in the position of waiting on Fedex for 6 months.

Not sure I understand the question.
If the seller is willing to send your dough back tell him to do it and you can sort the shipping claim later

..dropping off at FedEx Sunday with seller's return label. Refund should be / will be in process once it actually tracks, or more likely, once he has possession. My OP question was to get an opinion on what's reasonable here in terms of refund expediency. He will refund upon the actual return of the guitar. Patience.
