As this thread has resurfaced, I’ll add the following:

I should be home in about three weeks, returning twice a week for plasma exchange sessions for the foreseeable future, which helps me function normally.

I have a new and excellent archtop, so have enough to keep me occupied. Enjoying life again, and looking forward to going home.

The LGB30 is a fine guitar - a student of mine turned up with one. My new archtop is a Westone L5, Matsumoto-made, Japan 1980. Best archtop I’ve had, though I’ve still not managed to plug it in yet. I’ll do that when discharged from hospital on November 12, 11 days from now! Can’t wait…
