Rob, a big hug and best wishes!

Rob, we all (I am sure I speak for the rest of us) i'm hoping that you are having positive outcomes from your treatment and doing as well as possible in the month since we last heard from you. Slainte! (Well, that's Irish rather than Scottish Gaelic, but I'm sure you get the drift).
-
Has there been any update on Rob's condition?
This must be incredibly hard for his family as well.
-
Here’s the latest update, but first I’d like to thank everyone for their supportive comments.
I’m doing much better. In fact right now I am not connected to the ventilator which has been keeping me alive since May, and receiving 4% oxygen above normal. Meaning I am approaching normal.
Physically I’m in poor shape - can’t walk, even with a Zimmer frame or walking sticks - and I still can’t swallow, so eating is out.
The plan is to remove me to a recovery ward in a week or two, where teams of Physio and SALT - Speech and Language Therapy - will get those things in order.
I should most certainly be home in December, when we will celebrate the Greatest Family Christmas Ever!

Alright, sounds like things are going in the right direction!!!
-
I've been thinking of you.
-
Good news, Rob. Here’s to continued progress. Thanks for the update. You have been in my thoughts.
-
Fingers crossed you keep improving, Rob. Thinking of you, feller.
-
My prayers for sure Rob, speedy and faster than expected.
-
Rob,

Rob ~
So good to see your post here. December can't come soon enough, I'm sure.
I have been spending time on your Blog and here, reading your comments on Bergonzi Volume 1. Your discussion and demonstrations are excellent and help to reinforce the practice. I wondered if you have thought about a formal curator for your lessons (Van Eps, Baker, Galbraith, et al)? Your video archive is a wonderful contribution to jazz studies and I'm grateful to be able to tap into it. I know that others are, as well. Thanks very much, again!
-
Thanks, Bb. I can’t recall what I said about Bergonzi Vol.1, but he wrote great books for the serious student.
As for my videos, they will stay on YouTube until someone there clicks a button and they all disappear. I hope that’s a long way off. Meanwhile, they can be seen on ArchtopGuitar.net – …jazz…classical…folk…plectrum…fingerstyle…
Thanks again!
Rob

Keep on keeping on, Rob!

Cheers, Murray. I’m doing well, and expect to be home mid November.

When I saw your name appear on a post, it made my day! Glad you're feeling stronger and hope you're remembering how much a part of this community you are, how much we're cheering for you. Always!

.
Excuse my brain fart! I meant to say that I am using your "Van Eps Method for Guitar" body of work. I am also working through Bergonzi's "Vol. 1 Melodic Structures" and I think the harmony is getting confused with the melody (pun fully intended). Wait - maybe that's a good thing! :-).
All the best with your recovery, Rob. I also look forward to your review of the new Ibanez PM3C down the road.
