I have made quite a lot of ear training tracks for myself... I just made a kind of novel one tonight due to real music being too hard for me to do in real time. So if I take a medium tempo blues with a walking bass and I try to transcribe the bass line I usually have to stop every bar or so to think and not get bombarded with more notes. So I made a logic project that allows me to hear a Jazz blues going by and it plays random chord tones of each chord (One per bar at this point). See what you think. It took me a hour to create the project but now I can make a new track with new notes in about 1 minute per new randomized track. Then I just put them in ITunes and play them on random and ear train. Kind of fun :-) Does anyone else do things like this?
Here is a video of what it looks like.
