Personally I don’t miss the missing tone knob. I kinda prefer it that way and I would never drill a new hole. But pickups yes, I would consider changing them but I am too lazy to mess with it
Phillinganes is a monster keyboardist. I knew him during his Stevie Wonder years.
I found this praise the Lord they are out there. Index of /wesleydick/zips (mountifield.org)
Maybe I should start appreciating my own PM120 more?? :) It's usually the one I reach for as it is comfortable as hell .. But never liked the 3 knob controls and find that while it sounds fine...
...and in fact a lot less like the chambered Duo Jet.
Excellent info!!! So it is in fact ALOT like a Gretsch with trestle braces. Actually, it's more like the Gretsch ML braces... Except it's one huge brace, wider than the pickups, as opposed to 2...
At NAMM 2020, two Gibson reps independently told me it's just a matter of time when the 175 is in production again. Little did they know. But hey, there's never been as many, as knowledgeable and as...

Well right now my listed of wanted guitars become an L5c or Super 400c.
Those at Dave’s are new so I stand corrected. They are trickling in standard L5 models still. CME told me they are not taking in new orders at this time on any archtops but this may just be a...
Here's the story: I've always wanted a Harmony H62, love the look of it, love that it's a solid top, the scale (25"), also that it has a "working man/regular dude" vibe to it since it's relatively...
So the Ibanez 2021 catalogue is out - some new jazz boxes but, alas, no sign of the CC model (at least not in the UK)
Quietly dreaming of a Japanese maker doing just that - on strict condition that they use nitro. An 'Ibanez' L5 - a proper L5 - for a reasonable price would jump straight to the top of my list ...
In love with my Harmony H62, except when plugged...
