I transcribed a nice to example of Herb Ellis comping behind Anita O'Day singing the 1931 Harold Arlen/Ted Koehler tune, "I've Got the World on a String." I've noticed that it is very hard to find transcriptions of our favorite jazz guitarists backing up singers and instrumentalists. Luckily, as essentially the Verve/Norman Granz house band, the Oscar Peterson Trios and Quartets offer a wealth of examples of how to backup singers and play rhythm guitar. Here is one of the many transcriptions in this style I hope to do - Check it OUT!
