    Video Reharmonization

Hello, Lately I have exploring some reharmonization techniques trying to break the tonal harmony. I found some good devices in Wayne Neuss books. What options do you use when you are reharmonización a standard?

Depends how you want it to sound. It's fairly easy to simply substitute all the tritones, insert backdoors, change major 2-5s to minor, etc etc. Or put in any chord that synchronises with the melody note.

However, the result may not be worth it. I think reharmonisation is like Marmite, a little goes a long way.

My favorite book with DVD on reharmonization so far is the one by Robert Conti called The Formula For Harmonic Protocol.

It is full of immediately usable and very cool concepts.

You can watch video excerpts from it at the link below.
