    Django here is playing pretty much only single notes, the Jeff Matz appraoch Sounds great I think.

    Ah ok, so Django just uses the guitar as a solo instrument, like a any non chord instrument would do. Got it, sounds nice and makes sense! I was just confused the OP asks about how to play rhythm behind it in a duo... So I was kinda right- don't.

    This is off topic, but I thought it was interesting how much talking was going on in that video. Lotsa times people act like audiences talking and not paying attention is a modern thing lol
