My brain is not yet able to easily “decode” jazz chord progressions.
I would really like to learn the vamp behind Linville Slim’s version of this tune made popular by Billie Holliday.
Any assistance / guidance appreciated.

TBH if you struggle hearing such basic progressions, how about starting training your ear with some 50ies/60ies pop songs? Could you "decode" an early Beatles or a Bop Dylan tune? Or to go more basic: Could you accompany Happy Birthday using triads on the fly?

It's a 1,6,2,5 intro with A Train A section and rhythm changes B section.
How to figure this out is turn yourself into a bassist. Jazz can have complex harmony, but it almost always has predictable or identifiable root movement. So start there. Then figure out the top voice if that adds to the identity of the chords, then figure out the rest of the identity of the chords.
It helps to play it on good speakers, and you can slow it down if you need to.
