I've been following them closely since they first showed up in the mid-80s. (But I've been a classical player a lot longer than a jazz player.) Their new member, Douglas Lora, is a terrific Brazilian player, has recorded with Anat Cohen et al.

They recently recorded a piece that Pat Metheny wrote for them, as well.

I’m fascinated by their music lately, and that of Andrew York as well. I will be meeting one of the founding members of LAGQ next week in Granada. Can’t wait!

I’ve got their Guitar Heroes CD, which has pieces paying homage to various guitarists (from all genres), it’s interesting stuff and very enjoyable.

Scott is my favorite classical player...even over the "masters". I love all their albums.

Saw them in 2020 shortly before COVID shut everything down, touring with the premier of Pat Metheny's guitar quartet, Road to the Sun, which is a great album (also has Jason Vieux playing Pat's solo piece)
