Hi All
I used my Sunday morning to record this awesome Guitar Chord Melody Cover of the 1934 standard "Stompin' at the Savoy" (by Edgar Sampson, Benny Goodman, & Chick Webb).
This is certainly my prefered chord melody piece to play! It has it all: nice chords, some swing, stunning melodies and a very nice solo part in the middle.
I learned this arragement from the excellent Chris Whiteman, check out his youtube channel.
For the backing track, I used a Double bass recording from MrSunnyBass (also found on youtube) and doubled it with a drum loop.
The result finally sounds quite nice all in all, what do you think?
Cheers,
Luc
