In 1959 Charles Mingus wrote this song as an elegy for Lester Young who had just passed away. The name refers to the type of hat that Lester used to wear. For me it is one of the most beautiful and sad blues that have ever been written. I hope you like my arrangement.

    Four thoughts on this:

    -beautiful tune
    -beautiful arrangement
    -luscious tone
    -masterful performance

Teles may be the most versatile electric guitar in the right hands.

    Thanks.

Pork Pie Hut? I wish there was one in the neighbourhood. I'm getting hungry :-)

Fine rendition. I've had a soft spot for it ever since My Goals Beyond. It's well past time I worked on it. Thanks for the inspiration!

    goodbye pizza hut?

Nice version. I worked it out once and your version sounds very similar, the tune does sort of lay quite well with all the chords on the guitar a certain way.
