    Hi,

This is just to ask a favor. Does anyone have a pdf of (or a link to) a beginner / intermediate level chord melody version of "Send in the Clowns", preferably with tab, that they could post or send me.

    Many thanks, Simon

Bucky Pizzarelli's solo guitar version is pretty straightforward (especially when compared to Ted Greene's virtuoso harmonics showcase). I think Bucky is playing a 7-string, but some of it might be adapted for 6.

Harry Leahy's is in E so he uses the open E pedal throughout. It might be a nice and worthwhile project to work this one out by ear. It's recorded pretty clearly, no really obscure voicings or unusual tunings. It's do-able with patience and attention given to bass note and melody coordination. Once you get those, you can see how things go together. Lot of roots in the bass in Harry's arrangement.

Ted Greene also has a written version that he gave to his students. This is a "Skeletal Outline" and does not correspond to his recording on "Solo Guitar" but it has some of the same voicings. Adding harmonics is optional.
