Hi, this is my first post. I've really enjoyed reading this forum. Please check out my arrangement of Moonglow:

I'd appreciate any feedback on my tone. I don't have a "jazz guitar" and I'm using TI plectrums and a casein pick to try to get a mellow tone. I've been trying to learn mostly using Mickey Baker and various chord books.

I like your tone. You've got the right strings to mellow out a flattop guitar. I used AC112s on an old Gibson L-00 for years.

The only criticism I have, and I hope it's helpful, is microphone placement. I can hear the pick scraping across the strings and when this happens to me I find I can defeat it by moving the mic so that my picking hand is between the pick and the mic.

Yes, the recording isn't ideal. This is actually through a K&K pickup into a Tonedexter. I should get a mic and recording interface, but the nice thing ab out the Tonedexter is you can't hear my kids fighting in the background!
