Can someone please tell me where to find the knob on the left--cracked, as opposed to the one on the right, wrong purchase. Not sure what the term is for the different underside design, but left side one is what I need. Thank you.
Some thin cyanoacrylate adhesive, plus clamping for a short time, should take care of the crack, at least for awhile, while you search for a new knob. Shafts come in a couple of sizes, as do knobs to fit on them. It looks like you bought the Asian metric size, but it's hard to tell for sure. I also can't tell if the shaft is long enough for the new knob.
I'm trying to choose a pickup for my 7 string 335. I play jazz and want a warm dark round sound. I was chatting with a guy at Seymour Duncan and he suggested that having a Seymour Duncan 59 custom...
So if you using just single harmonic references for scale references... sometimes your missing what's actually or what can be going on harmonically.
Most jazz players looking at a single chord,...
Thanks so much for your kind words. I still miss having a '60s sounding 175. Mine sounds good but doesn't really have that '60s vibe. I think it's easy for all of us to obsess over these things so I...
Impressive playing and clearly an impressive guitar sound. But I suspect that JZ could make an Epiphone SG sound damn good. And the digital amplification also contributes to the great sound.
My...
Which characteristics are responsible for a difference in sound though? Doesn't the characteristic of a filter depend on capacitance and resistance of the components only?
Just because a humbucker is higher output does not mean it can't be used for more mellow stuff. Lower it way down in the ring and try it before you jump ship for expensive pickups. You might be...
I am sensitive to that as well: the (type of) guitar I play seems to dictate what and how I play (more than I’d like to). I don’t really understand what causes that……
I tune the unmentionable Irish style an octave under a mandolin which took some playing with string gauges as the G needed to be heavier than what came in sets. I play mandolin too, a Ovation and for...
You really need to roll your own capacitors from aluminum foil and waxed paper rather than buying caps from the man. Do homemade cookies taste the same as the stuff in the supermarket?
