Can someone please tell me where to find the knob on the left--cracked, as opposed to the one on the right, wrong purchase. Not sure what the term is for the different underside design, but left side one is what I need. Thank you.
Some thin cyanoacrylate adhesive, plus clamping for a short time, should take care of the crack, at least for awhile, while you search for a new knob. Shafts come in a couple of sizes, as do knobs to fit on them. It looks like you bought the Asian metric size, but it's hard to tell for sure. I also can't tell if the shaft is long enough for the new knob.
Yep, pedal and tube amp will get you there!
OP - welcome to the Forum!
You can spend hours over at TheGearPage sifting through threads on amps/pedals for this tone, so lots of options (too...
The guitar tone is your classic Dumble ODS amp tone.
There are a number of ways to get that tone.
A real Dumble amp $100,000+
A Dumble clone amp $5,000+
A Dumble pedal in front of a Fender...
Using a 6dim scale over its chord can be thought of as two ways:
- Harmonizing the scale by using inversions over the chord tones and passing diminished chords over the non-chord tones.
- Creating...
Worth mentioning that I don’t think BH would’ve thought of this as tonicizing the ii chord (or IV). It would just be internal motion within the prevailing harmony. Alan and Christian could obviously...
Dear fellow 175 enthousiasts,
A few days ago I decided to put a fresh set of Thomastik-Infeld JS112's on my guitar. I also took the time to (finally) fine tune the bridge, since after the 12th fret,...
Thanks for your suggestions. It seems to me that the Gibson ES 125TC I sold some time ago is the best option. Now they're too expensive. Time will tell.
Lastly, but not least, here's an interesting solo version by the man himself. It doesn't bear much resemblance to the tune as it now is but it's probably worth posting.

Tonicizing the ii, so not dorian.
If you want to keep the voices moving when harmonizing the 6th degree I've found an aux dim works and sounds nice as it keeps the dim sonority (vi dim7).
6th...
Ah, grasshopper.... keep staring and chanting, "fifty nyun, fifty nyun, fifty nyun....." after an hour or two, the subtle mystery will reveal itself.
Totally agree on the Collings thing. But I'm...
I've long been annoyed by the careless use of the "cover" label outside the music-biz context in which it made (music-biz) sense. My standard anecdote: more than 20 years ago, at an open mike where...
Ok, so I was actually in the process of coordinating sale of this PM20 with the seller. However, I backed out because the body shape is different from other PM20s I've seen.
The PM20s I've seen look...
Looks like it depends on the version rather than the player:
