Is it possible to wire a Humbucker and a regular Tele Bridge pickup using a 4 way switch ? Im trying to get both series and parallel wiring on the neck pickup, both pickups together and lead single coil Tele.
Yep. I did that with Dimarzio Area Ts and with Wilde L280TN, both stacked humbuckers. No reason PAF style won't work. If there is a pick up cover it needs to be grounded separately. The diagrams ought to make things pretty clear.
although with a Dimarzio Area T (with cover) and then a Wilde L280TN (no cover). Haven't done it with a PAF style bucker, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with a 4 wire conductor. You might need to ground the cover.
One other ? Since I'm using both a Humbucker and a Single Coil what ohm pots should be used? I've seen diagrams with both 500k a d 250K as well as a mix.
Not sure which to go with?
Perhaps you could use 500k/250k dual ganged pots. I have a Strat with PAF buckers in the middle and bridge, SC in the neck and wired it so that there is a 250/500k volume pot, 250k tone pot for the neck and 500k tone for the buckers. I used one side of the switch as the 250k side and the other side for the 500k side- no jumper between the common terminals on the switch.
Woah... please, let's avoid name calling! Mr. Smith is certainly not dumb but prone to hyperbole at times. I just don't think terms like "better," "more advanced," etc., apply for the reasons I gave...
Don't recall that tune but Somewhere Over the Rainbow does that too.
First two notes of Norah Jones "Don't Know Why" are a major 7th and then a descending Maj.7 chord arpeggio (7-5-3-1).

My 2 cents: I have tried a lot of ear training in different sauces
Ear master pro: good but not great
Complete ear trainer: 5 euro smartphone app that is a game changer. try it.
^ Good God no. I hate tippy taps.
2nd no drummer and proceeding with the gigs as is. If you eventually find a good replacement then cool.

ok..the scale/mode thing can be very confusing when your just learning jazz basics.
Strong suggestion:..dont worry about modes for now..
Learn the chords in the major scale and how they work...
I'd suggest getting a backing track. IRealPro is very useful. Then try it every which way and figure out which notes you like.
As far as theory goes, the tune starts in Cm. Like a minor blues, it...
So a "songwriter" is someone that write lyrics, like Homer the ancient Greek? or Lil' Wayne the rapper perhaps?
-Where's the subsection for poetry? Composition is about music, no?
We've got a...
You want to know and be able to use both. The diatonic notes to the key center; and what scales you can use over a chord that would fit the chord and context, but would contain outside notes from...
Both. Shell voicings are most commonly played on the E D and G strings, or the A D and G. R73, and R37 respectively. When you get to a voicing with the root on the A string, you can swap out the root...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh
F Dorian and C Aeolian contain the same notes. Wherever you read to do that over the tune (or any other) go ahead and close the tab.
A mode also can start on any note, it’s about...
