Is it possible to wire a Humbucker and a regular Tele Bridge pickup using a 4 way switch ? Im trying to get both series and parallel wiring on the neck pickup, both pickups together and lead single coil Tele.
Yep. I did that with Dimarzio Area Ts and with Wilde L280TN, both stacked humbuckers. No reason PAF style won't work. If there is a pick up cover it needs to be grounded separately. The diagrams ought to make things pretty clear.
although with a Dimarzio Area T (with cover) and then a Wilde L280TN (no cover). Haven't done it with a PAF style bucker, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with a 4 wire conductor. You might need to ground the cover.
One other ? Since I'm using both a Humbucker and a Single Coil what ohm pots should be used? I've seen diagrams with both 500k a d 250K as well as a mix.
Not sure which to go with?
Perhaps you could use 500k/250k dual ganged pots. I have a Strat with PAF buckers in the middle and bridge, SC in the neck and wired it so that there is a 250/500k volume pot, 250k tone pot for the neck and 500k tone for the buckers. I used one side of the switch as the 250k side and the other side for the 500k side- no jumper between the common terminals on the switch.
On guitar, I'm still just shedding, pretty much.
Yeah, you're right that the rootless chord voicings can sound pretty stark or unidiomatic when playing solo.
To me, that's a cue or an...
You can hear it on this recording as well (Barry Harris on piano lol.)

FG def playing one note on a few recordings at least…. It’s the sort of thing that sounds good in context but a bit weird on its own.
I often comp this way, gives piano plenty of room.

So he's complaining that the RB sheet doesn't have the line in the A/1 section that other sheets have and most performers play, is that it? So use them, not the RB. What's the fuss about?
They look like the mickey mouse ears to me. What am I missing? The Sheraton II pro I had was exacting dimensions with an 03 ES333 and these are the same body shape with what I thought were mickey...
Nowadays I practice five days each week, leading up to the Friday night recording session. I feel that I learn as much during that hour as I would have in the preceding days. I had fun trying out...
Brite does not necessarily equal bright. Marketing hype is just that. I've tried a lot of flatwound strings, and none of them sound like roundwounds. I'm not a fan of dead-sounding strings. There...
