Oh, oh, oh . . . plays the first phrase, waits ten full seconds until the time is truly right for more.

He doesn't seem to tour that much? Tour — JULIAN LAGE

Maybe it will get fill in more later? I'd really love to see his show live, and afaik he's never been to China, so hopefully one day...

He has been touring this album since March in different legs

Lage is coming here to Tampere Finland in the February – but as a sidekick for Joe Lovano.

Kinda surprising, I would’ve thought that he would tour mostly by his own band.

But who cares, I am going to the show anyway!

if you had an opportunity to play with Joe Lovano, why would you turn that down just to tour under your own name? Lovano is still a bigger name in jazz than Julian is, after all.

I'd say because playing with an amazing listener and improviser like Lovano is a chance nobody in their right mind would pass up!

I also just get the feeling that Julian is in the F*** It Let’s Make Music phase of his career.

I think if it seems fun, he’ll probably take the gig.

And if I've learned anything about Julian over the years of interviews, it's that he's always open-minded and looking to learn and experience more!
