Ok, I learned the changes and melody then learned a CM version. Next I'll try to find time to play with some single note ideas but family functions will have me busy for the next couple weeks. We'll see.

    Comments/Suggestions welcome.

    Hi Paul,
This is a great take with nice backing track.
    Bossa style with beautifull chord - voicings/head & solo/.
    Your Tele sounds fantastic.
    Exelent playing.

Wish I had the equipment and knowledge to post vid to youtube. My rendition of this song is in ballad form a la Tony Bennett, pretty straightforward, not too much embroidery.

And not to get too far off topic, but:
Kris, Eric Dolphy played nearly everything fast, but he also used large intervals between notes. Check out his flute solo on "Stolen Moments" from Oliver Nelson's 1961 album "Blues And The Abstract Truth" starting ~ 3:00.

I've heard that singing the lyrics is a good way to start working on a song. This gentleman -- Frank somebody or other -- manages to do that with a certain amount of flair (although I can't say the same for the guy who posted the video, who appears to be severely keyboard-challenged).
