Toots Thielemans: Bluesette

Toots Thielemans Sheet Music (Guitar Tabs)

Here's the sheet music with guitar tabs for 'Bluesette', the standard written by Toots Thielemans.

Toots Thielemans is particularly known for his excellent harmonica playing, but his original reputation was made as a guitarist (with Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian influences). As a guitarist he played in the Benny Goodman Sextet, George Shearing's quintet and shared the stage with Charlie Parker in 1947 at the Paris Jazz Festival.

In 1961 Toots Thielemans recorded 'Bluesette', which became a big hit. The theme was played on guitar and doubled by whistling (Toots is an expert whistler). From then on he was great in demand, especially for harmonica.

You can listen to the theme of Bluesette here: The Silver Collection (click and scroll down).
