Kevin Eubanks is widely known as the leader of Jay Leno's Tonight Show Band. It's obvious that you don't hear him at his full potential there.
Kevin Eubanks studied at Berklee, played with Art Blakey's big band and began leading his own bands in 1983.
His first record company was GRP (those albums sound a bit GRP-ish), but switched to Blue Note in the 90's. In the more
recent years he emphasized playing the acoustic guitar (check out Mino Cinelu's 'World Trio' album with Dave Holland).
