cover Robotic Guitar Tuner (String Master)

This guitar tuner is incredibly easy to use. Simply plug your guitar into the input jack, pluck the string a few times, and watch in amazement as String Master's powerful motor tunes the string to perfect pitch. The tuner winds or unwinds strings at the push of a button and beeps when your string is in perfect pitch. It works with any pickup equipped 6-string guitar and is very accurate.

This tuner is incredible and the best part is: it actually works. People are always floored when they see the tuner in action. The String Master takes the human element out of tuning and gets your guitar in perfect tune.
Two things: make sure you end up tuning a string when the motor is tuning the string tighter (just like you should do when u manually tune a guitar). The other remark is that when you want to use the String Master for acoustic guitars you need an 'Acoustic Guitar Adapter' from Action Tuners or a pickup or microphone.

Highly recommended!

Line 6 GuitarPort Line 6 GuitarPort

The Line 6 GuitarPort is a device used to let your guitar communicate with your computer: hook it up to a USB equipped computer, connect it to your guitar, install the software and the fun begins.

The first thing to do after installing the GuitarPort is checking out the collection of amps and effects.  Imagine having a room full of classic amps, cabinets and effects.  Well, that's what the GuitarPort is all about : The Line 6 technology emulates 15 amps (from Marshall to Vox), 14 cab models and 22 effects (delay, chorus, tremolo, flanger, reverb, ...).
The first time you try your GuitarPort you feel like a kid in a candy store!

The other section of the interface deals with the interactive part of the GuitarPort : it provides a range of tools for the learning guitarist.  It's called GuitarPort online and is a subscription service ($7.99 per month).  GuitarPort online has a huge collection of classic tunesguitar licks and guitar lessons in all kind of styles and by all kinds of artists.  There's loads of interesting information to be found there.  There are lessons and licks about Wes Montgomery, Larry Carlton, John Scofield, Joe Pass, just to name a few.
You can also download 'signature tones' of the guitarist you are learning about. Say for example you are doing a Joe Pass lesson about bebop : just download the matching tone and your guitar sounds like Joe Pass.

Another part in the GuitarPort interface is 'Artists and Gear'.  Here you can find bio'sgear and discography of your favorite guitarist.

Next is a tab called 'Tracks'.  Here you can download tracks to jam along with.  You can download entire arrangements or just the backing tracks.  The difference with for example 'Band in a Box' is that these tracks are 'real' and not MIDI.  Line 6 hires great producers to create them.  Another function is the 'Half Speed' function that lets you slow down tracks (even CD tracks) without affecting the pitch.

There's some more useful tools, most notably a chromatic tuner.

To be short : Line 6's GuitarPort is a must for guitarists from different walks of life, it's cheap for what it is ($99.99 at Amazon.com (at the time of writing)) and most important : it sounds great!.
