Default LCM popular music exams

Im taking my LCM grade three popular music theory exam on this saturday.I was wondering if anyone else had experience of these exams. The exams are organised by the registry of guitar tutors.I study from home and have found the workbooks to be amazingly well set out and down to earth.I have played guitar since i was young and studied jazz seriously for bout three years.I have a degenerative disease in my spine which has meant i can no longer work,so i decided to go for some formal qualifications like i had always dreamed of doing. Being able to study in this way is helping me to feel like i am doing something with my life and i cant praise these exams and the registry highly enough,if anyone wants any further info please ask and i will be glad to talk about my experiences of these exams.

Best of luck. My experience of music exams is that they're a bit like job interviews - the best strategy is to have a good background (in this case, learned your set pieces, scales, etc. properly), and then just to be yourself. Generally, music examiners are on your side, so you don't need to be nervous of them - they want you to do well.

Why is there no 'slap on the back' smilie available on this forum?

Good evening, Ginger...
Good luck with the ordeal, tell us how you fare, please? We're wishing for...

... and (be warned...) we will accept nothing less. You can do it, lad..!

(My apologies in advance do Dirk if this sets off an unwelcome trend... )
