Hi I'm new here

Just signed up.
I'm nigh 70 and play ragtime acoustic pretty good, not great but passable. I'm interested in jazz guitar but the tricky chords always put me off. I always thought that you had to use a plectrum but I use a thumb pick so I think I can get away with that. I watched a bloke playing jazz guitar at a folk festival I go to and I reckon I should give it a go. I've had a quick squizz through your forum And I think you are a good bunch and I can learn a lot.
I play an entry level Maton with a rich sound unusually good according to others. I think it's because it sat in it's case for 10 years from new before I bought it.
Anyway I'd better get stuck into the Jazz chord book and get learning.
