 Early 60's published guitar arrangments of Broadway shows While studying guitar during this period, my teachers would provide published sheets of broadway songs and books of entire shows arranged for guitar. I was particularly fond of "West Side Story" and will gladly pay for same or similar pieces. The arrangments were in standard notation and quite enjoyable. They were not limited to beginners and published as chordal melodies. Would love to know what happened to this genre and whether the material was published for instructors.     |
