Well done! I like the way you have a rather straight ahead jazz style combined with a bluesy take in the same song. I'd love to see/hear you live.

My buddy Rob plays an Ibanez, I think the model is AK75 or AK85. (Have to ask him though). It's truly a great guitar for small money! I play a Gibson ES333. (I know, you didn't ask.... )

We play a variety of guitars. Rob also has a Chinese guitar brandnamed "Keiper" thats amazingly good for just 150 euros. Myself I also play a Japanese Condor that is a 'lawsuit-like' copy of an ES175 and frankly is almost as good as the Gibson ES333 I recently bought (though of course comparing a hollow body to a semi is not realy good comparison).
My Condor cost me only 150 euros, but I upgraded it with a Burstbucker. My ES333 has classic '57s and is a great 'poor man's ES335', since it cost me not even half an ES335. (As you can see I am a little obsessed by guitars that cost less... well I'm Dutch right, we have a name of being cheap ;-)

Well, while I am at it: we recorded the audio with a Zoom H4, by feeding two simple dynamic mics into it, placed directly in front of the speakers of our Fender Blues Deluxe amps (we both have the same and like it very much).

Very well done, personally I do it much slower and bluesy, but your version is wonderful.

Thanks for the comments!

Our version is based on Tal Farlow's version on the album The Return Of Tal Farlow. What is funny that it's the same progression as Wes' Four On Six, so sometimes we end or start with the characteristic bass-intro of that song.

Very cool. I love Tal and the way you adapted it to 2 guitars is very splendid indeed.

Very, very nice, especially the way you varied the comping voicings you used; not the same ones from chorus to chorus. I LOVE good comping!!! Great tones and feel.
Do you know Dick Onstenk?

Thanx guys!

I do know of Dick Onstenk, also known as Dutchbopper on YouTube. (Never met him, for he resides in another part of holland.) I think he is a truly amazing bebop-guitarist!

Meanwhile we also placed "Chitlins con carne" on the tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZQDZl4_TGc
