Default Clip from my gig with Jon Damian

My regular jazz brunch gig had two subs today. As a two guitar trio, Michael couldn't show so we had Jon Damian fill in, and our regular bassist couldn't show either so he had one of his students fill in... a 17 year old on his first paid gig! He did great. And Jon was fantastic, funny and supportive. Here's Secret Love. I play the head and 1st solo.

You guys put down a nice groove, that'd be great ambiance for a brunch. Very nicely done, I wouldn't have guessed you were playing with last minute subs, and certainly not a student on his first paid gig. How much time did you have to rehearse, or was it trial by fire for the subs?

No rehearsal... call tunes from the book and off we go!

That was some nice playing. Liked how it picked up. Kind of made sip another glass of wine.
