| | Reference Duke Ellington (I think) - "Two kinds of music - good and bad." This is GOOD. Jostein, you play fabulously. This axe does seem to bring out a touch bluesier playing. Sort of serious question - do you now, or do you plan, to actually gig with this guitar?

I think this axe brings out more blues in my playing for sure.
I am definitely going to use it on gigs, I actually used it on one already.
I am not sure if the guitar will replace my beloved Collings semi-hollow, but it is a really nice and different sound. I am planning to do some country playing with it as well. |

I have been using economy picking for a while now, it is starting to come out more naturally. I was trying to use alternate picking for a while, but it didn't really work for me. I think economy picking fits better for my style of playing and it sounds more natural when mixed up with hammer ons and pull offs. |

| | Nice, thanks for posting.
Once again, what I gleam from your brief video is the importance of the sheer momentum and rhythmic drive of the lines taken as a whole, as distinguished from simply "spraying notes" into the air.
Thus, the lines are sculpted and not just machine gunned into existence. I really dig that, as that is something I need to work on. |

I have been working a lot on getting lines to flow in faster tempo's and trying to shape the lines dynamically. I am still not used to doing it on this guitar-the telecaster has a much quicker response than my regular guitar.
Thanks again! |

| | Tele---jazz.
Nice sound but I prefer sound with heavy strings without bending.
I know Tele is a special guitar.I've just bought tele style guitar and tried to play gigs on it.
Sometime I like it and sometimes not too much. |

Sometime I like it and sometimes not too much. | Hi,I prefer bending. I am using 011's-not super heavy but most tele-players are playing 10's or 9's. Why don't you like bending? Bending is a really important technique on the guitar regardless of style. It is still possible to bend with really heavy strings by the way-look at Django, Charlie Christian, and Stevie Ray Vaughan to mention a few. What would Django be without bending and vibrato? |
