Default Guitar Pro 6

Hi Guys,
I checked out the new GP6, it looks like the same programme with different graphics and layouts and improvements in the RSE (some would say "mutton dressed up as lamb"). I havent downloaded the free trial but it didnt seem to have the ability to generate arrangements or styles the way BIAB will. It has always been a problem for me trying to put the drum section into a piece as I'm not a drummer. Any other members had a chance to look at it yet? Would be interested in your comments.

I have to agree with both of you, love the idea of a hybrid made from both of them it would really fly ( Hmmmm Bandpro 1 ??). I use both and find GP is easier especially if you want to add a slide into or from one note to another. I asked PG Music how to do this in BIAB and they refered me to the piano roll window, still cant do it.

piano roll window sucks,
i think BIAB want make it better, in my opinion the GP is even better in some cases from the Finale notepad..
It's easer and more faster to write everything I only complain on one thing the GP bar width (the visual side) the bars has alwayes different width depending on witch notes.. I want for e.g. that every line has 2 or 4 bars.
2. I think that is more probably that the GP makes an extra path to act like BIAB then othervise

I have made a full instrumental album using BIAB and Guitar Pro as a birthday gift my girlfriend one time. Here's what I did:
-I made the backing track using BIAB by choosing the right style and entering the chords and then exported it as a MIDI files.
-Guitar Pro allows you to import MIDI files so I imported the MIDI backing track I made using BIAB.
-Using Guitar Pro I added a guitar melody track. Using the RSE function I was able to get fairly realistic sounds.
-Tidied up the arrangement of the backing track a little bit by editing them in TAB form.
-I then saved it as a WAV file before burning it onto CD.
-Did this for 10 tracks, and I ended up with a fairly nice sounding instrumental CD : )

Hi Shadow,
thats a pretty good idea, thanks for the tip, never thought of doing that. I've exported midi files from BIAB but just didnt make the connection to GP5.
