Default Dell laptop audio

Anyone have a recommendation for improving the audio output from a Dell Inspiron Laptop? I have BIAB 2010 set up on the laptop for bass/drums.

Default Route to stereo

One option is to take the output ('headphone') signal and route it to a stereo, or other pre-amp & speaker combination. That's probably the cheapest way to beef up the sound, it only requires a cable and will give more low end response than most computer speakers.
