 Scales in Band-in-a-Box Are there any other scales in band in a box beside minor and major?     |

| As far as I know, the scales you play are driven by the chords, and inversion thereof that your music contains. Yes, they list major and minor on the song key box, but that won't prohibit you from using a blues scale, Lydian, Frigian (sp) etc. If you are using a chord, say for instance, Cm7b5, you would just play the melody notes that you'd use for that scale. There are a whole list of things on WIKIPEDIA where you can research the varing scales. If this helps you, that's great. if not, flesh out your question a bit more. Ciao Joey45 |
