Default New here... who are the BIAB gurus, guys?

Hi guys!

I've just got BIAB 2011 and because I've never used it before, I'd like to know who are the "go-to" guys 'round here to ask 'bout some low level/beginner stuff, or a link to any forum dedicated to this program.

I speak English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Danish, so no many language barriers for me, so you can suggest any forum from those languages, as long as it's good... I mean, if something similar even exists; I haven't made any research on the subject.

I've been a player for over forty years, but I've just started to approach Jazz music, so I thought BIAB could lend me a hand to start up. Did I make a good choice, guys? What do you think?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Yours very truly,

BIAB is a great tool for jazz musicians, because it essentially gives you a backing track for playing the head/improvising/comping over tunes & changes (which you may already be aware of). The changes that can be modified in many different ways - tempo, style, etc, which allows one to tailor the tool for their skill level. I first started using the software back in the 90's when I was in music school, and most recently a few years ago when I started playing again. I am familiar with the basic features (but am by no means an expert), so if you have some specific questions I can try to help.

There are also several yahoo groups dedicated to BIAB, and these groups also have a mailing list to pose questions, which would also be a good source of information for you.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, pghguitar. I think I'll check the yahoo groups; I already participate in the Behringer V-Amp one, and it's been useful.

Yours truly,
