Default Need IPAD 1 help

I recently acquired an IPAD 1 and I need to be able to download PDF files (lead sheets) and books from my windows 7 computer to my IPAD. I am able to sync the computer and the IPAD but I need step by step (I'm not familiar with IPAD) instructions to accomplish the download. Any IPAD users out there?

Hi Wiz

You can read PDFs in iBooks. Dowload this app if you haven't already.

Then I use "Dropbox" as a means to transfer files. Go to dropbox.com on your main computer and create an accout (250 mb free).

Then go to dropbox.com on your iPad and open the "existing account". This will put a dropbox folder on your iPad.

Then you simply move the pdf files in the dropbox on your computer and the file will sincronize to your iPad when you go online (wifi).

When you go to open the pdf on the iPad, it will ask you "do you want to open in ... iBook or any other reader you have installed. sSelect it and it will be dowloaded in that reader.

Pretty slick, I use it to transfer files to my iPad for work and travel..

Good luck

If you want to skip Dropbox, install Goodreader. From itunes, select the iPad, then go to the 'Apps' tab. Click on the Goodreader icon in the bottom list of apps on the ipad. Then you can click the 'Add' button at the bottom of the list and directly add PDFs without having to use Dropbox.

By the way, if you don't have it, get iRealB (and go to their forum to download the 1200-song pack).

Yes, the melodies are copyright protected as a general rule.
