Default iReal b for Android is out!

Good news Android mobile users! iReal b (former iReal book) has finally been released for Android phones :-) For those of you not familiar with it: It's a must-have app for all practicing jazz musicians, with a well working player function, like a basic and easy-to-use BIAB program. Just bought it and I'm having a ball :-) Today the beta-version is out on 50% sale, and tomorrow the 1.0 version is released. The price is ridiculously low compared to it's usefulness ;-) So go and buy it!

Default iRealb

l have iReab for the i-Phone. Not just jazz, there are some pop.ie. like Stevie Wonder, whose songs have made it into jazz becuase they are alot of them. Don't forget to transfer the 1200 songs onto your playlist. It took me some fanaguling around to get in my iRealb, but it's there now. Some many app tools, so little time

For those who don't know: the 1200 songs don't come with the app, but you have to download them from the forum! (for free)

I haven't got an android device (or an apple anything)
but I wanted this app
So I borrowed my daughters HTC phone which is compatable
and downloaded it onto that , and the 1000 jazz tunes
All great for all sorts of reasons
man ! the changes to 1000 songs instantly and transposable
and with rinky-dink pno/bass/drums comping

too effin cool
but its not my phone ............ damn
don't wanna shell out on an android whatever

So I wanna put irealb on my practice room puter
and I found this Run Android on Windows with BlueStacks :: Android on PC :: Android Player for Windows | BlueStacks

which is free and gonna be released in beta at the end of march which will
let you run android on your windows puter ....
note it will only install apps that you've already bought
and have on an android device

How cool would that be ?
Will let you know if/when it works ...........
don't hold your breath

Sorry got a bit excited there

I've been using this app with an Android tablet for the last week. I run a cable from the headphone out into the aux in on my amp and it works really well; much easier for backing tracks than BIAB for me. The tablet sits on my music stand so I can see the changes as I'm playing. I finally have a good use for the tablet. Money well spent, IMO.

It's an Android app (an Apple version exists, also - iPad and iPhone), so it only (easily) runs on Android or Apple portable devices. I have it running on a Toshiba Thrive tablet. A couple of posts up in this thread there is information on software that will run on a PC to allow you to run virtual Android machines. There are also Andriod sims available now that let you run Android apps, but they are mostly geared towards dev work and they are not exactly user-friendly if you aren't a programmer.

Default Android for Windows PC

l have found the app unstable and throws up these "allow/don't allow" for Internet Explorer. Not l have go and unstall it becuase l am having interference trying to go on the net. Seems like all all the app has to offer is a bunch of games. l guess if you are into that then that's find. l thught it was suppose to be a music useful app. l did not see that anywhere. ???
