Default Scofield transcriptions

Hi. I'm looking for transcribed Sco's solos from his 80s era, those stunning ''desafino'' runs he used to play with Miles, Jaco and throughout his earlier years. That kind of boppish stuff instead of that newer funky stuff, you know. Please, if you have some, could you send them to me? Thanks.

If you have the albums, it would be of far greater benefit to transcribe them yourself. May take you a while but you'd get so much more from it than copping someone else's transcription. Get an app such as Transcribe (there are others out there, but I don't know the names) which can slow down the music but keep the original pitches.

Amazing Slow downer.

!Slow down and transcribe with Roni Music software - slow down the speed of music without changing the pitch

There is one out-of-print book with transcriptions of John Scofield from the 80'ties. I saw one in a shop in Berlin last year, but beside it is not easy to find. And expensive on e-bay. These are also transcripts from his own records only.

No, it actually worked. Right click over the play button on WMP, and you'll get the options of normal, slow and fast. Muddier than Transcribe... but helpful anyway.

Amazing Slowdowner will give a greater degree of speed management. Also has pitch change and correction options and stores songs in a playlist.

I've seen the "Time on my hands" book also. They have em both on the public library where I live. That's sufficient for me (although the day I need to have a peek a redneck youth have probably stolen it )

I've transcribed a number of tunes, including Sco's "Techno", "Still Warm" and "Heaven Hill", and posted them on the Free Jazz Institute's site at FreeJazzInstitute - Transcriptions . Check them out! Ville

DVD player in my old work laptop had ability to slow down to 50% by 5% steps and a-b loopping. This for audio and video. It's about only thing I miss from my old employer, ha!

IIRC it was called Intervideo WinDVD.
