Check This Out! By Popular Request: Jimmy Raney and Johnny Smith

Just added these two famous jazz guitar players to my website:
Johnny Smith and Jimmy Raney. Now, considered old school, but nothing sounds old about their playing to me.

There is a selection of albums and one video clip of each. Amazon does a good job with choosing decent parts of the songs to sample, but I wish they made it easier to scroll through all of their albums. Some of these guys did an enormous amount of recordings. Thanks for the suggestions. You guys are keeping me busy.

Smith was a MAJOR inspiration for me and it shows in some of the five guitar arrangements I've done.

If anyone is interested I have a number of Raney and Smith CDs for sale from my collection.

I knew Johnny Smith from the 1960s when he played clubs in Denver. He was and is still my inspiration!

Attila Zoller once told me that his favorite guy to play duets with was Jimmy Raney.
