i would guess indirectly at best; Don was a protege of Howard Roberts and Joe Diorio, and with them, was one of the founders of GIT in LA. Jimmy Wyble taught there for a good while, but with Ted not far away in Encino, Jimmy in Pasadena, and Don in LA, who knows? Possibly though Don d/n mention Ted as an influence on his site.
