Default Ted Greene soloing anywhere?

I've been working from Ted Greene's books on single line improvisation. I love the material and his way of working! But I am curious to know what he sounded like himself when soloing. All the videos and clips on YouTube and the Ted Green website seem to concentrate on his chord style playing (at which he was of course totally wonderful). I don't think he considered himself to be a master single line player (he may have been modest...), but still, does anyone know of any clips or anything with him playing this way? Cheers!

There are a couple of John Pisano albums on eMusic where Ted duets on a couple of tracks - I don't recall if Ted solos but of course well worth checking out ...

There are a few examples released to the public. Some are in the 35 lessons in mp3 format that Mark Levy posted in the Ted Greene forum. I don't recall which ones have him soloing, but there are a few where he shows examples of various styles (BB King, Wes) and nails them.

There is also that brief single note interlude in 'Just Friends' from his Solo guitar disc.

There are other examples which have not been made public and are extremely hard to find...one of those things you have to know someone who knows someone, etc to get them. I am sure they will make there way out at some point. Trust me when I say he was very accomplished.

Almost forgot...he also solos using a kind of steel guitar vibe on the track Holy Smoke by Will Ray. I think it is on the Mojo Blues disc.

Cheers Bill and Jeff, I'll investigate these. Indeed I do trust you Jeff - I find it very hard to concieve he was in any way less than accomplished at anything guitar related! I'm am interested to hear where he was stylistically though, especially in relation to jazz style soloing. Plus it might just add something to my practice with the books.

I remember Barbara Franklin posted some home recordings in TG forums that had some/a lot single string stuff too. I have to check if I still have them, they were not compatible with my iPod so I kind of forgot them

Those Mark Levy lessons are priceless indeed!!
