Default Kurt Rosenwinkel Deep Song

YouTube - Kurt Rosenwinkel@Vrije Geluiden Deep Song
This makes me want to learn this tune. Does anyone have a transcription? Sheet music?

Kurt has a book out with Mel Bay called Compositions, which regroups leadsheets and transcriptions of solos from the album Deep Song. Enjoy it, it's great.

I agree that it's a great book, well worth the money, and thanks to Brandon Bernstein and Matt Warnock. The thing I like about it is seeing how he comps for himself so much, rather than Single-note-for-awhile-then-block-chords-for-awhile, like you often hear, plus, when he plays the same tunes with a piano player, he still maintains his own style and the piano adjusts to HIM, rather than the other way around, which is the usual result. Good book.

He is amazing. I saw his Standards Trio in Chicago last week. I still can't figure out how he gets that sound as if someone is singing slightly behind the notes in the same register as the guitar (as if falsetto). I asked Kurt after the show. He told me that he wears a microphone and sings, but I could not tell if he was yanking my chain. Listen to his solo on Zhivago for an example of what I'm describing.

Doesn't look like it -- here's a screen grab of the Table of Contents from Amazon's "Search Inside" function. I've been thinking about buying this book for a long time, for piano rather than guitar (I just want to see those incredible chords...).

EDIT: There's also a transcriptions book for East Coast Love Affair, for those who want some of his trio tunes.
