lots of great players listed above...I can not add any to it ... I enjoy most of these and some I don't...

all are different and have much to say and they say it in their own way...which is great..isn't it...it would be awful is they all sounded the same....then it would be them and you...

time on the instrument..pierre

Here is my Top 10:

Marty Grosz
Eddie Lang
Tony Marcus
Freddie Green
Teddy Bunn
Al Casey
Bucky Pizzarelli
Kenny Burrell
Grant Green
Wes Montgomery

and what the heck! another one: Ranger Doug

Now I have to stop but I could go on and on...

Just think of Charlie Christian, John Collins, Oscar Moore, Mimi Fox, Tiny Grimes (great bop stuff he's playing when not doing R&B), Chuck Wayne, Melvin Sparks (some excellent work as a sideman!), Sal Savadore, Jimmy Raney, Lenny Breau, Joe Pass, Emily Remler...

Last edited by Eddie Lang : 02-11-2010 at 06:56 PM. Reason: I rearranged the order of the Top 10 plus I added Ranger Doug

Agreed! I love that album.
