| | I remember hearing Jack Wilkins and Jimmy Bruno as a guitar duo quite a few years back. They were the best guitar duo I have ever heard and I have heard a lot.
There is a DVD of one of their gigs, here's a song from the DVD.

| | Jimmy is a very good duo player. There is a clip of him with Joe Beck on YouTube and they did a recording together called "Polarity". The interplay is transcendental on that one.
I hope he and Jack will do more of these duo projects. They're both incredible players. |

| | I have still have his debut LP from the mid 70's titled 'Windows', some really great playing from what I recall. Will have to spin it back up on the old turntable to refresh my memory (yes, I still play LP's) |

| | I've studied with Jack and known him for a long time. He is one of the best and overlooked players in my opinion. He has literally played with everyone. Michael and Randy Brecker, Jack Dejhonette, Buddy Rich, and so on. He is also one of the nicest and coolest people you'll ever meet. Almost every guitar player in NY has taken a lesson with him at one point. Can't say enough good things about him. |

| | Sometime around 1974, I asked Arnie Berle (a NY area teacher) who I should listen to and he did not hesitate a moment when he named Jack Wilkins...great player, great guy. |

Man, this is just awesome. I have a great CD, "Heading North", The Jack Wilkins Quartet, which also has Jimmy Bruno on it. The two of them together are awesome. Quote:

An outstanding teacher and human being.
