If someone has posted this already, I apologize. But then it's so good, it might deserve multi-posting. : )

Dig the groove these guys get into.

It never ceases to amaze me how facile Julian Lage is. The whole thing is off the charts, I especially liked when they were trading back and forth.

This is one amazing performance. Julian Lage has his fretboard down solid, and Randy Vincent os no slouch either. Between them they have a natural counterpoint that comes from a long time of playing and practice. Not only it it a lot of just plain fun to listen to, it gives me hope that I can do something if I keep practicing. Thanks!

Hey guys - glad you liked it. I had no idea Vincent was so good. He's written some fantastic books, the most popular probably being his books on chord voicings -- but jeez, what a player!

Yeah, Lage is the man.

Wow! Great post. Reminds me of the old Joe Pass and Herb Ellis duets, but taken up a couple of notches. The interplay is awesome Doesn't get much better than that. Lage is a real wiz, just keeps getting better and better.

I'll go ahead and say it -- Lage's music does more for me than any other jazz guitarist I've listened to. That's just me, of course. There's something there that resonates with me on many levels. I wish I could express it better! George Benson's playing has this same sort of effect, but Lage has "finesse" -- or something.
